Why We Doula
Our Mission
Magdala Doula Services holds space for women and their families at all stages of maternal health. We work with women on their fertility, childbirth planning, postpartum planning and pregnancy or infant loss.
Duc in Altum means “Into the Deep”. This church in Magdala, dedicated to the women of the Bible was confirmation of the Magdala Doula Mission.
It all start on the top of the mountain above. Standing on the Mount Precipice, also known as Mount of Precipitation, Mount of the Leap of the Lord overlooking the city of Nazareth. This is where the Magdala mission was envisioned.
It is believed by some to be the site of the Rejection of Jesus described in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 4:29-30). According to the story, the people of Nazareth, not accepting Jesus as Messiah tried to push him from the mountain, but "he passed through the midst of them and went away."
Why do you need a Doula?
Doulas support a birthing person throughout pregnancy and delivery. Providing continuous, one-on-one care to birthing persons, their partners and families. Providing:

Informational Support
This can be done both virtually and in-person.
